Worldwide standards for video have diverged since the inception of television.

The standard in North/South America and parts of Asia-Pacific is known as the NTSC format. Europe and other key regions of the world use formats known as PAL/SECAM. As such, videotapes and DVD's that work in one country or region, cannot be played in VCR's and DVD players in others.

A specialty of DVDuJour is both the conversion of various international video formats to NTSC, and the creation of PAL/SECAM DVD's. Differences in NTSC and PAL/SECAM frame rates and screen aspect ratios (dimensions) requires specialized conversion methods and equipment. We possess the expertise to convert international videotapes to DVD's for use here in North America. As well as produce PAL/SECAM format DVD's for use throughout the world.
